As happens sometimes, a moment settled and hovered and remained for much more than a moment. And sound stopped and movement stopped for much, much more than a moment. And then the moment was gone.

oh my goodness! we were so young!
i was holding a piece of cookie at this precise moment. i think... karla made the chocolate chip cookie because it was her last day at SIS.
